Lance Cpl. Bill L. Perkins, a mortuary affairs specialist with Personnel Retrieval and Processing Detachment, Headquarters and Service Company, 1st Marine Logistics Group, irons the wrinkles out of an American flag before mounting it on a transfer case May 12. Marines deployed with Camp Taqaddum's PRP Detachment are responsible for recovering and processing the remains of U.S., Iraqi and coalition personnel before providing the "angels" with a dignified transfer back to their families. The billets are filled by volunteers in the Marine Corps Reserve. Perkins, 23, is from Fayetteville, Ga.
